Yes, I think that it is an excellent idea to learn to fly in France. I recently visited an aerodrome in Britanny at Bains-sur-Oust near Redon. Loads of space. Long tarmac runway. Cheaper fuel. Cheaper flying per hour. Improve your French language skills.
After 40 years in the air force and airline business this very old pilot is just starting to get the hang of flying. Having had a wonderful time after 16,500 hours in the air and 5,000 interesting hours in flight simulators the idea is to be a "time-rich" ab initio instructor. I am currently instructing three days per week ar Derby Airfield, UK. The plan is to also deliver Ground School subjects pertaining to the Private Pilots Licence. This Blog-thing is brand new to me. Any pointers would be appreciated.
